Fear can find us in different places and at different points in our life, but that doesn’t mean you cannot do something about it. We need to start to minimise and control our fears, in fact we can do something about it right NOW!

We have been developing and running our self defence and personal safety for a while now. As a result hundreds if not, thousands of women are in a better position to protect themselves and feel empowered and safe while out in the real world.

This self defence is the result of 20+ years of experience, 1000s of hours training, countless real-world “experiences” aka attacks and ensuring that no matter what, we ask and TRY SOLVE the question.

How do we protect OURSELVES?

Here, you will learn the cutting edge streamlined street self defence programme called DNA (Defence n Attack) that does actually work against someone who is stronger or aggressive!

Like all good programmes we are constantly updating and changing the content of the course to improve the learning experience for the participants and ensure it stays current.

2 stages of this COURSE

Each module is basically divided into two stages, first stage is the personal safety/self-protection and awareness and the second stage is physical training of self-defence.

STAGE 1. The self-protection stage will give you the information you will need to help you predict, identify and avoid violence before it occurs. It will also provide you with a lot of background information as to why predatory and aggressive individuals act and behave the way they do. This information isn’t given simply to increase your head knowledge around the subject, but to have a better understanding how and why you should respond to them and their threat in a certain way. 

STAGE 2. The DNA self-defence program will look at one or two common attacks or threats and demonstrate simple ways in which will help you to deal with these. If you have “mastered” the self-protection piece, the chances are you will never find yourself in a situation where you have to use them. The aim of the course is to teach you how to predict, identify and avoid violence so you should never get involved in a physical confrontation. Only as a last resort should you need to engage with somebody physically.

WHAT AGE CAN WE ATTEND: Women and girls ages 13+ are welcome. No experience required.

WHEN & WHERE: 

Once a month we are holding a 2 hour course based at Wilkes Academy SN5 7YT.
